One of us has recently moved to Berlin because of job changes. Though it doesn’t stop our passion for food and trying out different new restaurants. But because of this change, we will now start exploring restaurants in Berlin too! After all, Berlin is less than 2 hours away from Hamburg, it’s always a good idea to go there for a weekend trip!
So one of the first restaurants we tried is this Ramen place in Friedrichshain. The place has all the typical broth like tonkotsu, miso, shio…etc. However both of us feel like having something spicy on that day, so both of us end up ordering tantan ramen.
The first impression of the ramen is really delicious, the broth is thick, and full of sesame flavor. Especially for the black tantan, we guess black sesame was used for the ramen broth. All the toppings taste delicious as well. The texture of the ramen was also just right. We like the taste a lot, and the only problem we have is the soup is really rich and thick, and we get really full at the end.
Gyoza and karaage were also delicious as expected, and the homemade lemonade is also great. All in all, it’s an authentic Japanese Ramen shop. Though next time we will probably try a different broth.
Food we ordered:
- Tantan Ramen
- Black Tantan Ramen
- Gyoza
- Homemade Lemonade
