So what happens when you are in Germany, it’s about 10pm and you are hungry and don’t want to cook? Do order a “cheap” take-away or get to visit a restaurant? Luckily, being in Berlin, you get to have some interesting late night options.
Not knowing a lot about around the neighborhood, we opened Google maps and searched for nearby places to eat. One of those places that popped up was Tommi’s Burger joint. We never heard of that place before and apparently it happens to be a burger chain.
Interested by its name and from others reviews, we decided to pay a visit and try out their burgers. It took us about 10 minutes by walking to get there. It was very easy to find it as it’s located right across Boxhagener Platz / Park.
The first impression we go to have right after arriving at Tommi’s was pretty good. I mean, it’s late night, you have a nice place that plays nice music and what’s missing? The burger!
We ordered 2 classic burgers with extra bacon & cheese, French fries and sweet potato fries. Along with those we got a couple vanilla milkshakes, you know… just for the taste!
One thing that pretty much surprised us was the fact that no one asked us how we would like the burgers. Strange right? I mean, most of the burger places will ask you, do you want it rare, medium rare, well done?
Anyhow, that didn’t end up to be a bummer as the burgers tasted pretty well. The bun was good, the patty great and juicy, bacon great and the rest kinda typical. Turned out that Tommi’s was a pretty good choice for a late night dinner.
Will we ever go back? Probably if we happen to be in the neighborhood one late night and while hungry.
