Gianni Eis

Our Ratings:
★★★★★ 5/5

Food we ordered:

  • Cookies flavor
  • Amarena cherry flavor

Summer days in Berlin are beautiful, but it’s also hard to resist a nice gelato, and Gianni Eis consistently hits the spot. It’s not just the creamy goodness (although that’s a major perk!), it’s the whole vibe of the place.

Gianni Eis feels like your friendly neighborhood ice cream shop. It’s located on Rykestraße in Prenzlauer Berg, Berlin. Gianni and everyone who work there are very friendly and welcoming. There are a couple of tables and chairs outside of the shop – perfect for catching up with a friend or just enjoying a solo sweet escape.

Choosing a flavor can be a challenge – they have a ton of options! We always go back for the “Gianni” – it’s a classic combo with peanuts and chocolate that never disappoints. The “Cookies” flavor is another all-time winner, loaded with a lot of cookie pieces. This time we branched out and tried the “Amareno Cherries” and wow, it was delicious! Super refreshing and perfect for a hot day.

The best part? Their prices are very reasonable, so you won’t break the bank by treating yourself. Just a heads up, Gianni Eis is a seasonal spot and they close in Winter time! It’s also a cash-only place, so come prepared! Enjoy them while the summer sun is shining!
