Berlin boasts a wealth of fantastic ice cream shops, but sometimes, the lines can be daunting! On a recent sunny Sunday afternoon, we stumbled upon Eiscafé Annamaria, a charming little spot with a manageable queue. Always up for a gelato adventure, we decided to give it a try.

Located in a family-friendly neighborhood in Prezlauer Berg, on Husemannstraße, Eiscafe Annamaria offers a delightful atmosphere. A few tables and chairs are scattered outside and inside, perfect for enjoying your ice cream while soaking up the sunshine or escaping the heat. We found ourselves surrounded by families with happy kids digging into their scoops – a proof to the shop’s family-friendly vibe.

While others around us were indulging in spaghetti ice cream creations piled high with toppings, we opted for a more classic approach. We ordered three scoops, sharing two flavors between us (because both of us just can’t resist getting a scoop of cookies :P).

The first thing that struck us was the ice cream’s texture – incredibly creamy and smooth! The portion sizes are also very generous for the price – it’s only 2€ per scoop as of April 2024, making it a great value. While the flavors were good, they didn’t blow us away. However, they were certainly enjoyable, and we wouldn’t hesitate to go and visit them again.

Eiscafe Annamaria is a cozy little spot with a friendly and helpful staff. Supporting local businesses is important to us, and the welcoming atmosphere at Eiscafe Annamaria makes it a place we’ll definitely revisit for another scoop (or two) of happiness in the future!
