Quan Do – Vietnamese Street Kitchen

Quan Do - Vietnamese Street Kitchen

Quan Do is one of the first restaurants we ever visited in Hamburg and it’s one of our favourite ones for Vietnamese cuisine. The restaurant is very popular so sometimes you may need to wait a bit at the door, but usually the waiting time is bearable and you will be seated very soon.

One of our all time favourite is Pho Ga – traditional Vietnamese Noodle Soup with Chicken (to be honest, you should try the beef one, but…we like chicken a bit more…). It is served with a deep fried bread stick, some fresh herbs and lime. Another main dish that we took is Bun Bo, which is  noodles mixed with vegetables and beef. The way the veges and beef is prepared and cooked is delicious, the seasoning was great and it’s delicious.

We also absolutely love the appetizer from Quan Do. We took a vegetarian summer roll and a spring roll. Summer roll is the one wrapped with rice papers with some salad, rice noodles; while the spring roll is deep fried. Both taste extremely delicious and it’s definitely something you shouldn’t miss!

We also must highlight this special homemade lemonade called Gingerly. It has a strong ginger flavour, but also feel very refreshing. It’s the drink we would go for when having such an exotic meal.

Overall we find the food at Quan Do very delicious and is something we like a lot. Even though it’s always a bit crowded, but we will recommend it for its quality and price. Give it a try if you are around the Hamburg Hauptbahnhof next time and looking for something yummy and authentic exotic food to fill your belly!
