Nua Rasa

Tucked away in the charming Prenzlauer Berg district on Greifenhagener Straße lies Nua Rasa, a café that transports you straight to the heart of Indonesia. Stepping inside is an instant mood booster – the staff greets you with a warm smile (a rarity these days!), and the overall vibe is friendly and inviting. The cafe boasts a delightful ambiance, drawing inspiration from its Indonesian influences. It’s a place that feels both inviting and unique, perfect for a relaxed afternoon.

The Indonesian influence is evident throughout the menu, for example, there are a couple of coconut-based treats. We tried one of their coconut cakes. It’s a dessert you won’t find everywhere, and that’s precisely what makes it so special. The flavor has an intense coconut flavor and it’s absolutely delicious, with a unique texture that sets it apart from other desserts. It’s a must-try for anyone seeking something different and exotic! The lotus cheesecake also caught our eye but we decided not to have it today, and we’ll definitely be back to give that a go next time.

Online reviews rave about their coffee, sourced directly from Bali. While we’re not coffee drinkers ourselves, the matcha latte we opted for was decent. It wasn’t the best we’ve ever had, but that’s probably to be expected – coffee seems to be their specialty. 

Overall, Nua Rasa left a very positive impression. The delicious coconut cake, the friendly service, and the inviting atmosphere make it a place we’d happily return to explore more of their Southeast Asian-inspired treats.
