Best Schnitzel we had in the Hamburg so far! Reasonable price and very huge portion, we couldn’t finish everything and have to pack some back home for the next day. The place itself looks just like a bar. It’s a very small place, and one lady serves everyone – so be a bit patient. They have a menu in English too, if you don’t speak very Good German (like us!).
Other than Schnitzels, they also serve steaks, we were struggling whether to have schnitzel or steaks! But since we were recommended to come here by our friend Josh for schnitzels. We decided to order schnitzel this time, and leave steak for the next time.
We love the schnitzels here, it’s thin, juicy and tender inside, but super crispy outside. For the Jägerschnitzel, it comes with some delicious mushroom gravy. If you don’t know what Cordon Bleu is, it is basically a schnitzel sandwich with ham and cheese in the middle. Both dishes are served with potatoes and salad.
The price in our menu was a bit cheaper than what we paid at the end. But for its tastes and size, the price is still really worth the value. If next time we are craving for Schnitzel again, Erica’s Eck is definitely our go-to place! Just remember they don’t serve warm food until early evening, so it’s not a place to have lunch!
Food we ordered:
- Jägerschnitzel
- Cordon Bleu
- Baked Potato
