Jim Block is more like a fast food place than an actual restaurant. We visited it after we watched Avengers: Endgame, and would like to grab something quick to eat before going home at 9.30pm. Luckily for us, we arrived at the place before they close and managed to figure out what to get and place our orders quickly.
As a fast food place, the food we tasted was good but also the price was reasonable. Of course we can’t compare it with proper burger house like one of our favourites – The Bird, but the quality is definitely better than McDonald’s or Burger King. We liked the variety of choices they have, especially no buns options with grilled vegetables and garlic bread. I guess sometimes you entered a fast food place with your friends and realised you didn’t really want something so heavy, so having different options are always good.
One more thing that’s worth mentioning is the atmosphere. Not sure exactly how the rest of the Jim Block restaurants are to compare as that’s the first time we visited to one of them. However the one at Dammtor has a very pleasant, chill / relaxed atmosphere with a local touch due to the Hamburg’s posters. Probably that has to do with the late hour but also because it’s quite spacious.
