[m]eatery is the BEST restaurant we ever reviewed on bezahlenbitte. We went to [m]eatery for a birthday celebration, and that was the best decision ever!
As its name suggests, it will not be right not to have meat in this place. We were not an expert when it comes to different parts of beef, but the waitress who served us was super nice and explained to us what we could expect from the difference choices on the menu.
One of us decided to order the dry-aged beef, which was aged in a special room that you can see in the restaurant. The dry-aged beef has so much more flavor, it tastes so delicate and full of aroma. It’s definitely one of the best steaks we ever had in our lives. The US Sirloin also tastes delicious, and the steak was cooked very nicely, we’ve ordered it medium-rare, and it’s very juicy and cooked very evenly.
All the other side dishes were very nicely prepared and we had a great evening there. Another dish we would like to highlight is the dessert. Chocolate brownie was a bit fudgy, but not way too sticky. The sweetness is also just about right. The thyme ice-cream was a nice addition to balance the taste.
On top of the food, what we really like is the atmosphere and service of the restaurant. We felt so relaxed and it was a place where we can enjoy the time chatting and catching up. You don’t feel any rush when you were there, it’s only you and the good food.

We have been regular guests at the m-eatery. They are known for a good steak, but yesterday was truly disappointing. We had our table for 9 reserved at 20.30h for the birthday of our son, and only left the restaurant at 23.30h with 3 courses. The restaurant is not cheap and the bill was heafty, but we knew that. However, for that I would expect exceptional service, which was the case in previous times. The service yesterday was slow and inattentive. The starters did not arrive as ordered, side dishes were missing, cold and tasteless. The waiter argued with one of the guests about the order. At the very end we had glas in one of the deserts. Finally, the waiter was very appolgetic, and gave us a double espresso and a Sambucca on the house. Today, the restaurant chief called and applogized again, and offered us a free starter at our next visit. I am very disappointed and think that this little of a gesture only made me more angy and actually made me write this review. I see this gesture as not understanding the matter. Unfortunately this will make us not go back, truly sad.
