Quiet and chilled environment, pretty quiet business neighbourhood when it’s dark. Seating is not the most comfortable ones, but it fits very well with the street food theme. The vibe of the whole restaurant is very cozy and comfortable.
We were really looking forward to the fried chicken and expecting something very similar to the Korean style efried chicken. One of us likes it a lot and finds it crunchy on the outside and juicy inside, also very well seasoned, while the other one thinks it’s a bit too salty with the soya flavour and missing the sweetness from the honey sauce.
The chicken ramen tastes okay, the pork belly is soft and tasty while you can taste the subtle flavour of chicken in the soup. Perhaps it could taste better if it is fried chicken on top of the chicken soup ramen or pork belly with tonkotsu (pork bone) soup.
For the stir-fry veges, in the menu we are expecting 3 different kinds of veges. But when it comes, we only seem to taste 2 (couldn’t really find the pak choi). The veges have an interesting flavour, it seems to taste a bit bitter, not sure if it’s because of the cooking method or the veges are not fresh enough.
The homemade Lemonade has a strong flavour of ginger, if you are not a big fan of ginger, perhaps you would like to skip it. What I like though is the drinks are not sweet at all, but it still tastes good.
Overall the food tastes alright, but the portion is relatively small for the price we pay. It has nice environment and staff, but it is not good value for money.
Food we ordered:
- Fried chicken with soya-honey sauce
- Chicken ramen with pork belly
- Stir-fry veges
- Homemade lemonade
