During our visit, we opted for the Thai Wagyu Beef Boat Noodles and the Grilled Pork Neck with Yellow Curry Rice Bowl from the set lunch menu. The Wagyu beef noodles were a bit underwhelming, with the overall flavor profile falling short of exceptional. However, the grilled pork neck with yellow curry rice was a clear winner. The pork was incredibly tender and flavorful, perfectly complementing the creamy yellow curry.

Apinara embraces a self-ordering system via phone, like many other restaurants in Hong Kong nowadays. This might seem impersonal at first, but it offers a convenient and efficient way to place your order, especially during peak lunch hours. One interesting perk – you can request your cold lemon tea without ice, resulting in a refreshingly chilled drink that isn’t watered down by melted ice, or something that feels too chilly.

The Verdict: Convenience with Room for Improvement

While Apinara might not be the most mind-blowing Thai dining experience in Hong Kong, it offers a convenient and reasonably priced option for those working or shopping in Admiralty. The set lunch provides a good value, and the ability to customize your drink order is a nice touch. However, based on our experience, some dishes might not quite live up to the price point.
